World's First Drive By Wire 115hp/140hp 4-stroke outboard

Suzuki Marine is globally recognised for making advanced technology and features available to boaters of all types - not just those who run the largest, highest-horsepower outboards. This tradition continues with the introduction of Suzuki's latest generation DF115BG and DF140BG 4-stroke outboards, the first in their class to offer all the advantages of drive-by-wire technology.

By bringing its proven drive-by-wire technology to its 115HP and 140HP in-line four-cylinder models, Suzuki is providing simplified rigging for a wide range of boat builders, along with silky smooth shifting, instant throttle response, enhanced performance and superior fuel efficiency. The reliability and precision control of Suzuki's drive-by-wire technology has been proven for years on Suzuki's popular 150HP through 350HP models.

Discover Suzuki's 3+3 year Warranty for recreational used outboards, plus other terms and conditions for commercial and government registered outboards under  Suzuki's Warranty Policy.

Drive By Wire

Operation from the remote control is delivered to the outboard via an electric signal instead of the traditional mechanical control cable design.

ADVANTAGES

■ Smooth Shift & Operation.
■ Easy Rigging.
■ Increased Fuel Efficiency.
■ Luxury Remote Control.

Increased Compression Ratio

The compression ratio has been increased from 9.7:1 to 10.6:1 to achieve greater top speed and acceleration produced by the 2.0-litre displacement inline four-cylinder engines. Lean Burn fuel efficiency has also been significantly improved compared to the outgoing “A” series models. Tests have demonstrated as much as 10% improvement across mid-range to high-end cruising speeds.

ADVANTAGE

■ Improved combustion results in greater fuel efficiency compared with "A" series models.
■ 10.6:1 Compression Ratio contributes to improved engine torque.

Suzuki Micro Plastic Collecting Device (MPC)

Suzuki’s Micro-Plastic Collecting Device (MPC) is part of Suzuki’s Clean Ocean Project initiative, which collects micro-plastic by filtering the returning ocean water after it has been used for cooling the outboard motor., without any effect on performance when boating.

3 + 3 years Recreational Warranty

All recreational/privately registered Suzuki Outboards come standard with 3-years / unlimited hours manufacturer’s warranty. Recreational outboards are also eligible for a bonus 3-year Warranty providing that an authorised Suzuki Marine Dealership completes servicing as per the owners manual schedule. The Suzuki dealer must use only genuine parts and oils during both manufacturer’s and bonus warranty periods.
